Director's Update September 18, 2020
Good afternoon everyone,It’s been a busy week here at NW Illinois Economic Development, and a constructive one as we prepare for an upcoming PR campaign. This week NWILED staff have:
- Attended the Jo Daviess County Ad Hoc Economic Development Committee meeting
- Met with two Galena-area small business clients
- Toured the Dubuque Innovation Lab
- Met with Jerry at the Galena Chamber to discuss fundraising tactics
- Working on an upcoming relocation guide, including a meeting with our project partners
- Speaking with a retiring board member and thanking him for his service
- Following up with a couple of projects and board members
- Speaking with the CTE Academy about the Apprenticeship Grant we are working on
- Checking in with Ken Sivertsen at Jo-Carroll Energy about the state of large businesses in our region
- Working on membership handouts, and PR materials
- Marking edits for the NWILED website
- Checking in with and touring Sulcanna Hemp
- Calling in to the Com-Ed regional economic development meeting
- Researching incubator / coworking spaces
- Meeting with Jo Daviess County Board Member Hendrica Reges about some county Ad Hoc committee work
